A STEP BY STEP WELLNESS PROGRAM HELPING PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV TO LIVE AN ABUNDANT LIFE
Abundant Living is a wellness program that teaches skills to deal with the emotional and spiritual aspect of living with HIV/Aids.
This program was exclusively designed by Stella Ndiho, who has lived with HIV since 2001. When she initially learnt of her diagnosis she lived with the fear of stigma and discrimination associated with HIV. Living with fear, coupled with a low sense of self-esteem, led to a life of secrecy with poor personal relationships. However, a determination to live a healthier life led her to seek ways to fight. Along her journey she learnt that emotional and spiritual wellness affect one’s physical wellness and therefore are crucial to living a healthy, longer, more productive life.
Her passion is to equip others living with HIV/Aids with the skills to tackle the various aspects of the disease. Being available exclusively online, also allows for confidentiality.
Living with HIV does not have to mean living sickly, fearful lives. Life can still be lived abundantly!

MODULE 1
MANAGING YOUR FEARS
One of the biggest obstacles to living an abundant life is fear. This module will help you assess your fears, deal with stigma and how best to overcome them moving forward.
MODULE 2
MANAGING CHALLENGES
Challenges and problems are a part of life. On encountering one however, most people will either try to resolve the problem quickly, avoid it or look for a way to alleviate the symptoms. This module will show you how to successfully confront the challenge of living with HIV.
MODULE 3
ADJUSTING TO LIVING WITH HIV AND LEARNING TO LIVE WITH JOY
In this module, Stella teaches on how to make the necessary adjustments to living with HIV, managing your emotions and how to live with joy despite the circumstances.
MODULE 4
MANAGING YOUR DIET
The human body has the ability to heal itself, but it is only able to do so if it has all the nutrients in sufficient quantities to create the energy that is required for all body functions. In this module, Stella teaches on why a diet adjustment is important for anyone living with HIV, as the body requires extra energy to be able to fight the virus and protect itself from infections.

ADJUSTING TO EXERCISE
In this module Stella teaches on the various benefits of exercise for those living with HIV as well as how it can enhance one’s quality of life.

MAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS
Choosing to maintain positive relationships is vital to keeping healthy when living with HIV. Relationships tend to change and grow, in this module Stella teaches on how to navigate the different relationships, determining whom you can trust and depend on for support.

ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance of your diagnosis and condition is one of the most difficult challenges to overcome. In this module, you will learn simple, practical steps that will help you acknowledge your condition and create the necessary strategies to take back control.

A SENSE OF SELF WORTH
Many people build their self-worth based on their job, their education, family name, what they earn or what they drive. In this module you will learn the foundations for building a strong sense of self-worth.
